Wow Vocabulary 

Can you write some Wow words to describe what you would have heard, seen, smelt and how you would have felt if you were standing in each of the pictures? Write the words around the pictures.

 

What a busy week

We had an eventful week this week. Firstly we made a handprint wreath for Remembrance. We went on a visit to Pontypridd Historical Centre. Then, on Friday we had lots of fun raising money for 'Children in Need'. 

Home work

I

have sent home some mental addition work this week. We've been exercising the brains by calculating addition and subtraction mentally instead of formally. I have explained the process on the sheet. I have also added some more tasks to Active learn. If your password doesn't work, try the first 4 letters of their surname followed by  first 4 letters of the first name. The password is 'changeme.'

A Curious Clay Play!!

Last week we had the pleasure of playing with some clay ready for when we make our woodland animals. 

Homework

Your child had a homework task sent home last night. Thanks for the great pieces of homework from last week.

This week's task is to practise sketching their chosen animal in detail. Mrs field will be doing this in class on Monday also in preparation for making their clay models. I like to display any independent homework in class, so enjoy experimenting!

Outdoor learning at Garwnant

A fantastic day was had by all. Thank you to Aled who taught us about animals in the woodland. We made habitats for the animals. We followed a map and clues to find some animal sculptures then we made an incredible discovery. We found an abandoned  rucksack full of clues. We typed in the web address and found Steve Backshall setting us our LNF project task.

Our first part of the task is to consider which animal we would like to find out about. How exciting!
